Placement stories, Permanent, Procurement, Logistics & Supply Chain...

Our south coast-based Engineering client was seeking a maternity cover Coordinator within their Procurement and Supply Chain department with around 3 months crossover for an efficient handover.

This position was challenging mainly due to the Fixed Term Contact (FTC) aspect so those that were suitable were mainly in permanent positions so we unwilling to leave the security of a permanent job for an FTC.

Those that were contractors and available immediately didn’t seem to have the shipping type experience we were looking for and those that were suitable were not a good culture fit for the organisation.

We work very closely with this client so knew the type of character that could be a good fit for the team and company and managed to source a suitable candidate who had around 7 years experience in a similar role outside of the UK.

The candidate had recently relocated to the area with her husband so she was available immediately for interview and to start, an offer was made following a 2 stage interview process and they even managed to have some handover time with the person going on maternity.

This is the candidates first position in the UK and genuinely one of the nicest candidate we have dealt with. We hope to have set the bar high on what it is like to deal with a Professional UK Recruitment Agency and we wish her the best of success in her new role!
