Our well-established Engineering client was seeking to appoint a Project Buyer on a permanent basis and we sourced an excellent mix of candidates for their consideration. This included candidates across a wide range of different Industries, local candidates as well as across the UK always ensuring the reasons and practicalities for relocation were always fully explored before submission. A number of interviews took place including one with a British candidate currently based in Dubai and they flew in for the face to face interview.
Our clients place strong emphasis on a good culture fit for their business, using several guiding principles to assess suitability and behaviours under pressure. Although this makes recruiting for them a challenge at times, we are uniquely placed to support them by continually investing our time to understand not only their requirements but also what the managers is looking for from a team fit perspective in order to continue building on the success they have enjoyed for so many years. This was a particularly challenging requirement as the position would be a part of a Project Team working predominantly with Middle East suppliers, have a high degree of autonomy on Project delivery so we needed to source someone who was able to operate at this level but with the capability to develop further.
Once the right candidate was sourced, the process progressed very quickly from CV submission to interview was only a few days and the 2nd stage interview took place the very next day after the 1st stage. An offer was made the very next working day, accepted verbally and formal offer followed in writing within 24 hours! The candidate started 2 weeks!
