We are working with a defence contractor who are a main technology and engineering supplier to the UK Government and Ministry of Defence.
 
We are supporting them with appointing a number of Multiskilled Technicians who conduct Electrical, IT / Networking data & fibre installation tasks and maintenance activities at sites in the UK and at overseas locations.
 
This role is based from the site in Tewksbury, but will involved extensive travel to customer sites. 
 
The role is permanent and paying up to £43,000. Due to the nature of the security cleared project work, they can only consider UK Nationals for these positions.
 
Requirements:
 

• Time served electrical apprenticeship.

or

• City & Guilds parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installations.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
• City & Guilds 2392 level 3 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
• Working knowledge of electrical installations (Basic record of proven ability in related work).
• Working knowledge of the Code of Practice for the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (4th Edition).
• BS7671 (Latest Edition) Electrical Wiring Regulations Incorporating latest ammendments
• Fibre optic installation, splicing and testing (basic record of proven ability).
• Must possess, or be able to obtain and retain DV clearance.
• Must possess or be willing to gain a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Excel.
• Obtain IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Level.
• Must possess a full UK Driving Licence.
