Techniche Global are working with a Global Control Systems Organisation who are seeking an experienced Process Safety professional.

 

This is a home-based role with occasional travel (15-30%).

 

This role would suit an industrial Automation or Process Safety Professional that has come from either and Engineering or Sales background. As a product specialist the role will be require detailed technical knowledge and will require customer interaction, however it will not be to direct sell products. This position is more related to product positioning, suitability, segment strategy etc.

 

Experience Required:

 

  • Product management, or strategic product/sales leadership
  • Process Automation (including SIS) products and solutions market.
  • Control and safety system systems and applications
  • Scalable, integrated control and process safety systems in different global regions
  • The application and differentiation of the different types of process safety platforms (TMR, FMR etc.)

 

Role Overview:

 

Product Managers are responsible, in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager and Director, for delivering growth, returns, optimizing market position and financial returns through portfolio management and strategy for a defined product group/customer application (Segment).

They are responsible for defining and leading the execution of the segment strategy to meet targets.

 

  • In conjunction with business leaders and other Product Managers develop and define the companies process safety strategy to maximize growth, returns and market share in its target markets.
  • Execute the strategy for the product in their Portfolio to deliver growth, returns and optimized market position.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to optimise GTM strategy for their segment/regions.
  • In conjunction with Engineering and the Training team provides technical pre-sales support and training for Sales team for new technology and existing portfolio
  • Identify and prioritise, in conjunction with sales, engineering, projects and customer support any certification required to maintain revenue/margin or deliver growth.
  • Develop, own and manage segment roadmap/growth plan from creation through to successful product release.
  • Proactive lifecycle management of portfolio and the decision maker in reactive lifecycle decisions (i.e., driven by component obsolescence)
  • Development of technical/application and market/competitive positioning material to support marketing communications.
  • Collaborate with pricing function on segment pricing strategies.
