S&T Supply Chain Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support and Test Equipment Lead to work with a leading engineering defence company. The S&TE Lead will provide through life support activities to designated projects, throughout their CADMID lifecycle.

Main Purpose of Role
This role is to provide subject matter expertise, guidance and recommendations for all assigned projects and opportunities. The primary focus of the role will be the Support and Test Equipment discipline including production and maintenance of associated documentation and deliverables. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective collaborative cross-organisational working both within the S&TE discipline and with other engineering disciplines.

We will look for candidates with experience in Support and Test Equipment who have dealt with the day-to-day activities essential to ensuring the necessary S&TE is available to the right people at the right place and at the right time.

Identification and Management of risks for S&TE and associated disciplines will be an important part of the role, along with providing guidance and mentoring for less experienced team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences:
You will have a good understanding of the requirements set out in the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) and Defence Standard 00-600, or have similar experience of Supportability in an aligned Industry. Additionally, you will have knowledge and experience with Support & Test Equipment processes, having developed and ideally implemented bespoke Plans in-line with customer and programme requirements, Reporting on milestones and work streams to the customer and project management team.

It is also key to have strong customer focus and have proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.

You must also be able to disseminate key information from any type of document; having good report writing and communication skills.

We require someone professionally astute and able to use their own initiative to maximum effect and be willing to undertake further professional development when in role where required. Due to the nature of the projects we required prospective candidates to be both commercially aware and security conscious at all times.

Qualified to HNC as a minimum, or equivalent, in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) discipline or suitable work experience in an Integrated Logistic Support role. The candidate must be SC Cleared or be able to be SC cleared.
